National Park # 1 checked off the list as our Canada adventure continues! From the endless Mountain Views, hiking, and our personal favorite, horseback riding, Waterton proved to be packed with beauty and fun! We won’t sugar coat it, there were people EVERYWHERE while we visited which is great that people are out enjoying nature but not so great if you’re the type looking for peace and serenity. Don’t worry though, we found that peace in our very own mountain facing dome and let me just say, watching the mountains come aglow at sunrise was spectacular!

Now back to our favorite part in Waterton: horseback riding! We went on the 1-hour ride and the instant I had reached out to them, they were accommodating, helpful, and just all around really great people. To book your ride, contact Waterton River Trail Rides at watertonrivertrailrides@gmail.com. Upon arrival, we signed our paper, got the kids helmets, and listened to a brief intro on how to best be successful while on the horse. After being introduced to our horses, off we went through the meadow towards several water crossings (such an amazing experience!), all the while having our pictures taken for us and having great conversations with our ride guide as the trail went on. Oh, and how could I forget being surrounded by the mountains as you ride!

As you can see Waterton National Park was full of fun and I didn’t even get to talk about the bison, beach areas, and the hike that overlook the town! Guess you’ll have to patiently await for the trip plans to be available so you can download and see all of our Canadian experiences for yourself.
